Copper Rock Fish

Copper Rock Fish have a white area along the posterior two thirds of the lateral line. The coloration is normally copper-brown. This specimen was much darker with almost the same hue as the Quillback which initially lead me to mislabel it when making this webpage.All of this Sebastes genus have the ability to vary their color somewhat,using their chromatophores,to suit background differences.
